陳冰，加拿大工程院院士，歐洲科學與藝術學院院士。現任加拿大紐芬蘭紀念大學工程與應用科學學院教授和副院長，北極大學聯盟研究主席，加拿大北部持久性有機污染控制重點實驗室主任，可持久性-新型-有機污染研發國際聯盟創始主席。此外，當選為加拿大皇家學會會員，加拿大土木工程學會主席，加拿大水質量學會副主席等。作為環境工程領域特別是淡水和海洋污染防治和環境應急響應等方面國際知名專家，已發表500余篇學術論文和專著以及專利。同時擔任加拿大國家海洋保護計劃MPRI國家顧問委員會委員、Environ. Syst. Res.主編和10多個專業雜志副主編或編委等。

Chen Bing is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (Academia Europaea). He currently holds the positions of Professor and Associate Dean in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. Additionally, he serves as the Research Chair of the Arctic University Consortium, Director of the Key Laboratory for Persistent Organic Pollutants Control in Northern Canada, and Founding President of the International Consortium for Research and Development on Persistent and Novel Organic Pollutants. Elected to prestigious positions, he is also a Member of the Royal Society of Canada, President of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering, and Vice-President of the Canadian Water Quality Association, among others. Renowned internationally in the field of environmental engineering, especially in freshwater and marine pollution prevention and environmental emergency response, Dr. Chen has authored over 500 academic papers, monographs, and holds patents. He contributes further as a member of Canada's National Advisory Committee for the Marine Protected Areas Research Initiative (MPRI), Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Systems Research, and serves on the editorial boards of more than 10 specialized journals as an Associate Editor or member.
